Dieses Kostüm ist meine kleine Hommage an Yavanna, eine Valier aus „The Silmarillion“. Es ist das erste Stück meiner Valar-Reihe und dreht sich ganz um Wachstum, Fruchtbarkeit und die stille Kraft der Natur.

Das Ensemble besteht aus mehreren Schichten, die sorgfältig abgestimmt sind und zusammen eine lebendige Silhouette formen. Besonders stolz bin ich auf das Korsett: Es ist mit Stoffstreifen überzogen, die wie Ranken aussehen. Daraus wachsen blattartige Elemente, die in den Rock übergehen.

Die Oberfläche ist reich verziert. Mit Perlen, echten Samen und Samenkapseln, die Yavannas Symbolik als Hüterin des Wachstums betonen. Diese Details geben dem Kostüm eine besondere Tiefe und eine Verbindung zur Natur.

Eine Krone aus echten und künstlichen Ästen rundet das Ganze ab. Mit Perlen und Samen verziert, passt sie perfekt zum Rest des Kostüms und unterstreicht Yavannas Rolle als „Fruchtbringerin“.

This costume is my small homage to Yavanna, a Vala from The Silmarillion. It is the first piece in my Valar series and centers entirely on growth, fertility, and the quiet strength of nature.

The ensemble consists of several carefully coordinated layers that come together to form a vibrant, living silhouette. I am particularly proud of the corset: it is covered with strips of fabric arranged to resemble intertwining vines. From these, leaf-like elements emerge and flow seamlessly into the skirt.

The surface is richly adorned with beads, real seeds, and seed pods, emphasizing Yavanna’s symbolism as the guardian of growth. These details lend the costume a special depth and a tangible connection to nature.

A crown made of real and artificial branches completes the piece. Decorated with beads and seeds, it harmonizes perfectly with the rest of the costume and highlights Yavanna’s role as the “Giver of Fruits.”
